‘Mary and Frank’ with Ben Tindall.
Wednesday 26 October 2016
7.00 pm Trinity Centre, Church Street, Haddington
2016 is the 20th Anniversary of HADAS and we are delighted to have Ben Tindall deliver the Frank Tindall Memorial Lecture following the AGM. Ben will speak not only about his father but also his mother Mary, who was an influential architect here in East Lothian. Many of our former lecturers have been able to provide insights into the legacy of Frank, a distinguished planner, however Ben will also speak of his mother in his lecture entitled “Mary and Frank”. In his memoirs Frank wrote of Mary: “she taught me all I know about architecture”.
The visionary influence of both Frank and Mary are at the heart of what HADAS stand for and we believe East Lothian still benefits from this influence. Their efforts could be translated as ‘in pursuit of excellence’, and HADAS attempts to follow this ambition by seeking the ‘best possible outcomes’ in respect of new developments. We also seek to protect, conserve and enhance East Lothian’s special places and landscape, and believe the next generation of East Lothian residents will benefit from our efforts.
The AGM will start at 7.00 pm followed by the Lecture at 7.30 pm. Refreshments will be served afterwards. All are welcome to attend this free event – why not bring a friend?
